Essential oils are actually dropped from about 6 inches above your spine, simulating rain drops! It feels like a rain drop gently striking your spine, and it is very relaxing and comforting.
It is thought that the oils interact with a person’s electric field before even penetrating the skin of the back. Thereby, enhancing the electromagnetic properties of the oils as well. Amazing!
This technique involves applying 100% pure therapeutic grade Young Living essential oils to the spine, neck and feet. The session lasts about an hour however the benefits may last up to a week or more. The technique was developed by Dr Gary Young in the 1980s. Gary found that combining several holistic techniques created a synergistic effect for the body. The three modalities that combine to form Raindrop Technique are Aromatherapy, Vitaflex Roll and Feathering technique.

Wintergreen Essential Oil contains 85-99% of methyl salicylate, the same active ingredient as birch and is beneficial in massage for soothing muscle tension after exercising. This is a key oil in the Raindrop Technique. Did you know that Wintergreen Essential Oil contains 85-99% of methyl salicylate? Birch and wintergreen are the only plants in the world that naturally contain methyl salicylate.
Aroma Siez Essential Oil blend is excellent for soothing muscle discomfort after exercise. A relaxing blend that is excellent for massaging away life’s little discomforts. Well suited for use after exercise or at the end of a trying day, it also provides soothing comfort for the head, neck, and tired bodies. It’s a key oil in the Raindrop technique.
Cypress Oil supports the brain and the central nervous system. It has a significant spiritual influence, eliminating what is stagnant and opening us up to spiritual evolution and personal development. Cypress essential oil supports us not only to accept the changes we need to make, but also, to distinguish what changes are best for us (and our own spiritual growth). Lastly, it will get this process moving and get us in the flow if we allow it to support on this level.
